This mobile application provides healthcare providers with a convenient resource for predicting outcomes and VTE risk in individuals considering bariatric surgery. Predicted outcomes encompass estimated weight loss, risk of complications, and improvement in comorbid conditions following the most common bariatric surgical procedures. The VTE calculator offers risk-stratified treatment guidelines. The content has been developed by the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC), a consortium of bariatric surgeons and hospitals across Michigan sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield/Blue Care Network of Michigan.
